Jessica Harris
Jessica is a super dance animator, breaking templates of old-school moves into ticking, writhing, and bumpingly fresh characters. A consumate choreographer, Jessica can work hours on a dance song, clenching every beat and riff with an epic story of self-confidence, suprising rolls, illusory isolations, and vibrating grace. In 2005, while studying at Northwestern University, the Houston, Texas native journeyed to Senegal West Africa, and learned Sabar dance. Jessica, who believes dance is a conduit for transformation, strives to recreate herself through movement. She's now at Emory University in Atlanta studying medicine and race, and dancing cross town.
Morgan Simon
Morgan's first jump into dance found her pop-locking and flexing to Hip-Hop sounds in her hometown Los Angeles, once she realized her curves were not going to make it in the ballet/modern world. Deeply committed to social justice, Morgan started her own non-profit, the Responsible Endowments Coalition in San Francisco--and spends every other waking minute dancing. Morgan has performed with numerous dance companies, most recently with Susana Arenas and Obakoso Afro-Cuban companies. She has also recorded as a guest artist on multiple folklore albums in Cuba.
Robert Chan
Robert's ballet and latin dance passion is hard to spot from a distance. The Northwestern University math major is a wizard commodities trader. But upclose, Robert's poised and fit appearance and life philosophies reveal the determination of an artist to embrace one of the highest callings of dance -- balance and beauty. Robert, a California native who competes in International latin competitions, believes dance expresses the nature of our relationships, works magic betwen men and women, the natural and supernatural, the dancer and the music.
